Re: [VAL] Dolly wheels/casters

Ok, you've both got me thinking really hard about this wheel thing. But
sometimes you just have to move the dang trailer with it's not in a
position to be hooked up to the tow vehicle - for instance, right now
my trailer is in it's "shop" area, on the deck of the house and it was
rolled there by 3 beefy guys. I sure as heck can't support the tongue
weight but I can shove it around a bit when the plastic wheel was on
the original jack (not the original little metal wheel but one I'd
bought recently). So what would be useful to me is information on how
to do this in the safest possible way - a list of do's and don't which
Al and Gerald have already begun:

1. Roll the trailer on level surfaces.
2. If #1 cannot be adhered to because of ??? (necessities of the
moment), have chocks & chocker people standing by to chock the wheels
every foot or so to prevent building up speed on the slope....
3. ??

Stuff like that - for when you absolutely have to do it. This is the
kind of thinking that led to the invention of the parachute - no one
would jump out of a perfectly good airplane of course, but sometimes
you have jump out when the pga is less than perfect, on fire, out of
gas, etc.
Thanks and please feel free to add to the list.
