Old Airstream can and do have a tremendous value.
We have a customer with a 1965 17 foot Caravel, that has it insured for
$46,000.00
She can justify that with the receipts that she has for all the special
modifications that were made.
Most any insurance company, will accept a certified "written" value appraisel
from someone or a company that is a recognized Airstream authority, or
expert, and has the credentials to back it up.
That usually leaves a dealer out, unless they have been around for a long
long time.
Photo's and receipts for improvements, would be a must. Generally speaking
receipts for routine repairs only indicate the degree of maintenance.
