Alan, I regularly walk on my '73's roof. I have a snazzy articulating ladder that lets me get up there. If you stay on the ribs, or better yet crawl to spread the weight, you should be OK. There is no other way to ensure that all the holes in the skin are well and truely caulked. Daisy (not exactly the little woman....)
