Every time I've worked on my "tena' or A/c unit, I just cover my extension ladder with a cloth or blanket and lean it to where I need to work. Keeping in mind where the rivets are assuming the beams are underneath for support. I would never put all my weight on the roof. AlanT Phz Az 74 Safari
