I am Bill and live in Memphis. I just purchased my first Airstream. It is
a 69, 31ft Sovereign. Brought it home from Ohio this last week. Had a
problem with the original hitch it was to tall. So I bought a new one and
made the ball 19 inches high. This helped with leveling the trailer and I
thought it help keep the back end from dragging, but I soon discovered that
there are many driveways that just were not built with my trailer in mind.
I was thinking of raising the trailer height by adding a spacer in between
the trailer frame and the frame that actually has the suspension attached to
it. So I thought I would join the discussion group and see if this was a
good idea of if there might be a better option out there.
