We used to have all kinds of mud daubbers living in our sailboat cabin
no matter what we did.  They can find the slightest crack...It's just
nature.  Those critters will nest whereever they can.  I do know that
mud dabbers are the tamest wasp...they have to be really provoked to
sting whereas yellow jackets sting just for meanness!!! A package of
mothballs might help....they seem to keep birds from nesting in some
high places in my garage.  Now if I can just burn the chimney swifts out
of the chimney....

Fighting the critters too...
