[VACList] Git-rot or something cheaper?

I have a '73 Overlander that has a few soft spots in the floor near the door.

I am considering using Git-Rot to soak these areas as a repair.  I am 
wondering if the "West System" materials sold by West Marine will do the 
same job since they cost less.  Any comments?
