Re: [VACList] On-demand water heaters

I have a couple of the little Ariston 110v heaters in a couple of rental
trailers. I have the smallest, maybe 2 gallon. Nobody that uses them is
really pleased with them... not enough hot water, not really a "heat it
as you use it" heater. They work, but barely. I would go for a larger
one if I had to do it again. Also, I saw a recent West Marine sale flyer
with some nice looking stainless steel 110v water heaters. Something
made for the marine environment might hold up better than the Ariston,
which isn't really made to travel.

If you will only need hot water when you have shore power available, one
of the nice things about an electric heater is NO HOLES IN THE TRAILER
SKIN! No holes in the side of the trailer, no vent holes topside, NO
HOLES. Especially nice if you have a trailer that doesn't already have a
propane heater.

Best regards,

Rik
