Joann,
Not that I have poked my head underneath every Airstream I have seen to
check for shocks, every one that I am aware of has shocks. Admittedly my
experience is mainly with the 60's on up. Perhaps in the 50's and earlier
they were an option, or perhaps yours is an exception to the rule. Airstream
has lots of those.
