yes  but use a light brush so that it goes on without bubbles.  use a strong
light and inspect all AROUND the flare to be sure that it is not leaking on one
side.  get your mix in such a manner that you can flow the soap solution onto
the fittings and then watch as you let it run off.  do be sure that you use
enough soap in the mix that it stays on the fitting.
ALSO, be sure that your tubing, etc is not under any strain as in the case of
sticking the mounting plates of a Hensley between  the gas line and the Aframe
on the front of the trailer.  while you are testing, make yourself go to ALL
your fittings - even for established installations such as your wall lantern or
your fridge, etc...
