Dr.J and John's point is crucial. The wheel dollies to which i referred are
used on flat, smooth garage floors. If i have to move something around on a
slope, or dirt or gravel, i use winches, blocks, etc., and move SLOWLY,
inches at a time. Once, in Kona, some friends had waxed the rails on their
large boat trailer, to make the boat 'launch' more easily... when they were
backing the boat on its trailer into its parking spot at their farm that
evening, they 'launched' the boat into the weeds. It took about 25 people,
three or four vehicles, and some ingenious on-the-spot engineering to get
the 10-ton boat back up onto the trailer.
