When I installed a FF in my trailer, I called the company to ask about this
foam gasket. They said it was specifically designed to maintain the seal
over many cycles of heating an cooling, expansion and contraction and that
any sealant including Vulkem would seperate and leak. This made sense to me.
So, I used the foam and Vulkem.
