Jason,

Any awning company worth their salt should have access to any and all types
of patterns and materials to make you a custom awning.  Sunbrella makes nice
material for instance and there are umpteen numbers of other mfg's who make
pretty cloth suitable for awnings.  I'd say canvas but today canvas can be
anything that remotely resembles what used to be cotton canvas developed
back in WWII if I recall correctly.  Some of the older members might know
when canvas first came out if this is incorrect.

Also, be sure to look into quality marine shops that make tops for pleasure
(and not so pleasurable!) boats. ;)  These designers of marine 'canvas' can
make you frames for your awning also and I'd certainly suggest that you
consider marine grade stainless steel for any poles as they will last a
lifetime.
