Re: [VACList] Laying aluminum panel over damaged panel

Wayne,

I don't have an answer about how best to add a new panel over a
damaged one, but interestingly, that was exactly what the Airstream
service shop in my area wanted to do when one of my panels got
punctured. When I questioned the wisdom of the procedure, the
service guy said that's what Airstream tells them to do nowadays. (I
called the factory, and they corroborated his assertion.) I took my
trailer
elsewhere for a replacement panel instead, but if that's the route you
want to take, I bet Airstream could tell you how they recommend it be
done.

Wayne,

How do you propose to stop the corrosion you will surely get between
two
panels of aluminum??

Do you really want to do this??
