For what ever it's worth I just recently modified one of my center twins to a 
pull out using a piece of LUAN placed under the liftup bed base that allows 
me to slide it out and rest it on two plastic milk crates allowing it to hold 
a standard size futon.
I can fold it back up when needed and vary the width of the isle back to the 
bath.
I will be using it for real next week at a local rodeo to try it out!
