Now that you have all that good advice, I thought that I would add my 
.02 worth.  After you replace all the belts and hoses, don't throw the 
old ones away.  Keep them for emergency spares and replace the spares 
each time you replace the belts and hoses on the van.

Old trucks are wonderful, but they do not ride like the new ones.
