[VACList] Rustoleum Paint

Two years ago, at the International, I talked to a fellow who painted his
Airstream end caps and top with Rust-oleum Aluminum paint - it looked
fabulous.

However, he said you need to use something else with the paint. Here is
what he said:

1. Sand clearcoat with 00 steel wool and mineral spirits
2. Wash with mineral spirits.
3. Mix 1 qt Rust-oleum paint with 1/4 qt Flood Penetrol Quality Paint
Conditioner
4. Apply with a paint roller
5. After it dries apply one or two coats of Flood Penetrol.

Voila - a wonderful finish.

I had planned to do my 1976 31 foot Airstream, but traded it and now have a
1993 34 footer. But the clearcoat on the top is patchy and I plan to paint
it using the above. Anyone else used this forumula? Not sure what the Flood
Penetrol does, but it worked.

Cheers,
