Perhaps you meant 20% lighter (than the new Univolt).  I myself am still
sluggin it out with the original Univolt in my 66 Safari.  It is so quiet
all the time that I can never tell that it's working.  If I put my hand on
top I can feel a small vibration.  It keeps charging the batt and giving me
lots of DC power.  No "characteristic Airstream/UniVolt hum" here :)
