Re: [VACList] ceiling crack

This may be a problem of "tail sag" which is caused by bending in the
frame behind the wheels which forces the shell to shift or pinch
downward. Although this is not characteristic of '68 models it is a
possibility. Try lifting up on rear bumber and see it moves while body
does not. Also check for slight wringle or bulge near wheel well
cutouts. Check out the Patterson files for lot of discussion this
problem. Sounds like the body is somehow moving and it may be flexing
of the frame which transfer movement up the body. Potentially a serious
problem and you may need a dealer (who knows their stuff) to check it out.
