[VAC] Prodigy Brake Controller?

I have a question about the Prodigy brake controller.
It says that it has a power-save mode to reduce battery drain while 
vehicle is not in use. Does this mean that you should disconnect the 
wire harness under the dash when your not hooked up to the trailer?
I plan on just installing it in my tow vehicle and leaving it 
installed and do not want to unhook the wire harness after each use.
On my Reese controller that's been in my truck for over 2 years I've 
never disconnected it and never had problems with battery drain. I 
hope that I can do the same with the Prodigy. Any one know of any 
problems with this?
