Scott. Yes. The new "city water" hookup, would also need to have a check 
valve in its line, so that when the pump was used, water would not run out of 
the city water fill. The city water hookup, through the check valve, would 
tie into the tubing that is on the output side of the water pump.
Airstream for years has used two check valves. Relying on the built in check 
valve that some water pumps have is not a good idea, over the long haul.
