Depending on the polish you used, keeping the "high gloss" could be a lot 
of maintenance.. I did some work on our 23' a couple of years ago and was 
advised by the polish mfg. that their polish had finish sealers included.. 
Since then no polishing and considerable  running into the wind... The 
"high gloss" has turned into a very pleasant bright finish on the 
aluminum... I am surprised at how well it is holding up...
