[VAC] H&H High Torque Jack

After  several years of trouble free service my H&H jack is performing
poorly. It started on my first trip out this year.  Problem is that the jack
is moving slowly,  and seems to be  binding.  I've checked the gears, which
I lubricate faithfully on an annual basis, and all  appears to be in good
order.  Voltage is good and all the connections seem to be in good order.
Jack worked fine on last trip out before I put the trailer away for the
winter.  In looking at the schematic from H&H, I can't see  what is in the
tube housing below the torque  limiter.  Any ideas what would cause this
problem before I tear the jack all the way down. Thanks for any advice.
