[VAC] Re: Weeping pressure relief valve?/missing pop-off

For those with a pressure tank, the removal of the "pop off" valve can lead
to some dramatic problems... In our first trailer, I filled the tank to the
brim at a gas station and grabbed the air hose to pressurize the tank...
water shot half way across the yard and a number of folks were hollering
about the trailer spraying water all over everything... the pressure in the
trailer tank had gone from zero to what ever was in the air tank at the
garage... With no air space in the water tank to speak of, the change from
zero to max was a second or so... I suspect the pressure in the tank was
well over a hundred pounds...

My recommendation would be to buy a new valve and install
it...(ASAP) things like that get forgotten until the damage is done and
you get that sinking feeling...By the way, the pop off should protect the
trailer, not the regulator...
