Charlotte, On my 1966 Safari there is an especially designed holder for the spare tire, between the frame members just aft of the LP gas tanks and down below. The tire is lifeted into position and then locked fast. Did they change that on your 67 or did I miss something???? Bob Kiger http://cruiserbob.com
