Dick. Running your equipment on one wire is not a good idea. You should have
separate circuits for you furnace, a different circuit for your refrigerator,
and two different circuits for the lights. In that way, should something
cause a fuse to blow, it won't have any seect on the other circuits. Never
have all the lights on one circuit for the same reason.
The ohms law formula is E=IR, or I + E over R. or R = E over I
A voltage drop for your furnace and refrigerator is bad news. Use a 10 gauge
wire for them. You can use a 12 gauge wire for your lights.
