[VAC] Vintage Appliance Guru in Colorado? (Bowen and/or Dometic)

I nearly havemy 1961 Bambi strippedon the inside.  Priortoputting her 
back together, I need to decide on what to do with the original Bowen 
water heater & Doemtic frige.  Does anyone out there know of a "Guru" 
in Colorado (Denver area) that can help evaluate the condition of these 
appliances?  I would love to keep/restore them if possible.

On initial inspection by an Airstrem dealer in Boise (American Way) I 
was toldthe Bowen heater ignited fine.  It wasempty, so I have no idea 
what the water pressure is like.  They also said the Dometic M16 frige 
lights like a flame thrower but might work if cleaned out.

Are there major advantages to upgrading to a new water heater?

Any other advice you can offer would be greatly appreciated!
