[VAC] Re: Clearcoat Removal



Karl.There is no cheap or easy way to properly remove the plasticoat. We have 
used "Aircraft" stripper for years. NAPA stores sell it. But, you will pay 
$20.00 to $25.00 per gallon for it. Also, for a 23 foot trailer, it should 
take about 5 gallons of stripper. CAUTION: DO NOT allow the Aircraft stripper 
to get on ANY plastic, or your skin. If you get it on your skin, you will get 
a thrill that you probably haven't had in years. Seriously, but also kidding. 
  Your also finding out why many dealers no longer refinish coaches. It's 
very labor intensive as well as considerably costly.  Andy
