 If you use a "Hoppy" lighting isolator/controller, you could power the
trailer lights from a 12V battery. I think the Hoppy would be triggered
by the 6V lights OK, but I'm not sure how you'd charge the 12V battery.

The lights would be very dim if operated at half-voltage, and the
trailer wiring isn't probably heavy enough to handle the current that 6V
bulbs would require.
