I've had good luck using a Vice Grip to remove wood screws that are either stuck or have had the slot trashed . Just snap that baby on and turn. Of course you will be able to exert way more than enough torque to break the screw, but if you break it off, it'll save you a hacksaw job. Lincoln Soule 1977 Tradewind
