Thanks for the reply. I have the unit working again.

I am not the original owner, so I can't say whether the furnace is original
equipment. However, my 1976 Owners Manual notes:

"The Airstream furnace is an American Gas Association approved Suburban unit
with an electronic ignition designed specifically for travel trailers."

I discovered a handy-dandy little window that provides a view of the igniter
and flame. My igniter was working and after some fiddling with the "air
shutter adjustment" so was the furnace.

actually, I doubt anything needed adjusting. I think my problem is most
likely detritus left by the wasps that made a nest inside the furnace during
the several years the unit was unused.
