No problem filling a diesel tow vehicle with trailer in tow at the truck
pumps. Some truckstops have a special car/pickup pump in with the big truck
pumps, usually nearest to the cash register. Some stations offer diesel at
one pump in the car island. I have pulled to use these pumps with the
trailer many a time with no comments. One of my favorite truck stops, Flying
J, offers an RV island. Here both gas and diesel are offered in a spot
easily accessable to RV's without having to use the truck islands, or tying
up lots of room at the car islands. Another plus with Flying J is that they
allow overnight RV parking. I have yet to see gasoline pumps at truck
islands.
