What exactly do you mean by not grounded? I have just installed a new modern
radio/CD in my 1976 Sovereign (for the 2nd time the first one was stolen
after 2 weeks in the trailer) and it seems to work great. The speaker wiring
has two leads that run from the radio to the speaker, one (+) and one(-).
When the first radio was taken they cut all the wires at the at the point
where the radio was installed. Luckily they left enough wire that I could
still attach to. With my service manual I was bale to determine the color
coded (+) wire for each speaker location but the (-) leads were all black.
Therefore I wired the power and attached the positive color coded (+) wires
and then by trial and error found the corresponding black (-) wire for the
appropriate speaker once I had sound.

Since my speakers have two dedicated (+) and (-) wires that run between the
radio and speaker does this mean that my speakers are not grounded and
therefore OK?
