I beg to differ.  If you're camping in an area with 
pack-it-in/pack-it-out rules, all that dish detergent, food bits off 
plates, grease from the frying pan, used shampoo and toothpaste, etc, 
is a no-no.

My rule usually is -- If you're not willing to dump it on the front 
step of your house, don't dump it on the campsite.
