Kit,
 What kind of toilet is it? If it's the common Thetford toilet, parts
should be available. (if it's been replaced, it probably IS a Thetford)

Removing it is quite simple: disconnect the water line (that can be a
bugger, depending...), then remove the 2 nuts that hold it down. One is
way down inside, under the plug at the LH rear (as you're looking at
it), the other is under the foot pedal. Replace the gasket between
toilet and tank while you're at it.
