[VAC] what will I need to pull it?

Hey everyone-This is my first try on this list group.  My name is Jamie and 
I will be buying 1970 airstream safari on Thursday!  I am very excited as I 
have been looking for one in my neighborhood for some time and finally found 
one in good shape and affordable.  However, I guess I don't have all the 
details figured out yet and thankfully the guy I'm buying it from is ok with 
allowing me to leave it on his land for at least the next month while I work 
on the details.  The most important of which is what type of vehicle I will 
need to pull it.  I currently own a 1999 Grand Vitara (v6 4x4).  It will tow 
1700lbs according to the owner's manual.  I assume I will need a stronger 
vehicle,  but how much do I need?  I want to be able to travel cross country 
in the summer months, but I also want to have a vehicle I can use around 
town comfortably.  Does anyone know how much my airstream weighs?  And does 
anyone have any suggestions for a vehicle?
