Margie,

I agree completely with Tom's comments.  You will be extremely disappointed
not to mention unsafe and at risk if you attempt to tow a loaded trailer
with a light duty SUV such as you mentioned.

Your Safari could weigh 5000 pounds or more fully loaded for a vacation
trip.  If you prefer a small tow vehicle for economy you will be surprised
and disappointed at the poor economy it will provide when towing.  A small
engine operating at full throttle with the transmission forced into a
downshift to a lower gear on the slightest grade or into a gentle wind will
consume far more fuel than a larger more powerful engine loafing.

If you buy more tow vehicle than you think you need you won't be
disappointed.  It will perform better, be safer, last longer, and require
fewer costly repairs.
