I don't have a guard on my 64 GT, there was one when the trailer was made but 
it was gone before I got the trailer.  I am accustomed to being able to see 
through the trailer to see what is behind me and so I have not put a new one 
on.  I did see a clear one that slid into channels from the top on an 
Airstream recently and think this could be a solution.
