Locally, I found the Michelin XCA's at a Discount Tire Store. He had a rough time finding them but prevailed. Sam's Club recommended I try Discount Tire because Sam's Club could take several weeks even if he was able to find them. Discount Tire matched the asking price from Sam's and threw in mounting.
