Jim No. The only thing I removed was the mattress on the street side to raise the bed. I cut the copper at each end then just pulled it out. It took awhile since I couldn't get it all at once, had to kind of roll it up as I got it. Once it was out I was able to slide the PEX right in. The hardest part was getting the fittings on, in some areas it was tight to get at, but at least now there is no confusion between the gas and water lines. Take care Bobby '66 & '73 Ambassador
