Leaking water can travel a long ways from a seam leak. So other than
pressurizing the trailer to find leaks at the seams, its workable to
apply caulk to every seam. If you look closely at the riveted seams,
they are not always perfectly flat or tight. And that's without
stripping. Chemical stripping might open up more seams.
