[VAC] Rivet Shaver Detail

I have posted detail on the construction of the Olympic Rivet Shaver for
everyone to see. I hope it answers questions. Just follow this link...

I've used this tool on my own trailer and on several other people's
trailers and I assure you it is special. To give you an example of the
attention to detail that is important, you should know that there is a
different shave tool for each size of Olympic shaveable rivet
manufactured. The guide skirt is designed to be just barely a smaller
diameter than the head of the rivet so that the skirt rests on the rivet
and never touches the skin of your trailer. This is to prevent the tool
from unintentionally walking or spinning on your trailer skin.

This is a very expensive tool and I encourage anyone who can design one
cheaper to please do so. In fact, if it cuts as well as the Olympic
version and the price is cheaper, we'll buy 20 immediately.

I've never seen one listed for sale on the airstream.net classifieds
board, but maybe you could find one if you posted a wanted ad there.
