I don't have a good opinion on whether to replace the SCRs as a pair or
individually. I doubt one's failing has damaged the other outright and I
don't know the Univolt circuit. I'd sort of think that it should produce
the same peak voltage (but half the charging current) from one SCR
working as from the pair. If it doesn't then I'd replace both SCRs
because while one is not working the other may not be working well.
