[VAC] Re: plumbing

I found the same situation in my 1976 Sovereign. I replaced all of the
copper starting at the water regulator with PEX. This is the plastic type
tubing used today in most RV and Mobil Homes. The tubing is connected with
special flare fitting. You can find the material at most RV service and
parts stores and some RV dealers. You can also get it at Airstream Dreams
www.airstreamdreams.com . The material is very easy to work with and
although the cost for the fittings can be pricey, the tubing is fairly
cheap. It cost me about $225 to completely redo the plumbing in PEX. Good
Luck
