Hi
Just had my road-side wing window replaced at the Airstream factory in
 Jackson Center on a '69 Caravel.  They reused the aluminum trim and used
 plexiglass.  I asked the 'work order writer upper' twice to confirm what
 they used; he said Plexiglas, nothing special.  He said they have just
 started making their own replacements (tempered glass replacements no
longer
 available). I was disappointed in the choice of material, since I've read
 here that Lexan or Acrylic II (?) (polycarbonate) is the better choice for
 its resistance to yellowing and breakage.  Any comments?
