[VAC] Axle drop

I was wondering if anybody had gone with a straight axle if they converted
to a new axle with electric brakes.  The axle on my Bubble has a 2 inch drop
at the frame.  Converting to a straight axle would raise the trailer up, and
my main concern is if it would look funny with the wheels a little more
exposed in the wheel well.  Just thought I'd ask before I place the order
for the new axle.
