[VAC] belly pan replacement

I dropped the belly pan on my 65 tradewind(The Silver Abaltross) to check the
condition of thr frame Fortuantly it is in excellent condition very little
rust mostly around the step and aft around the bath Itreated these areas and
reprimed the frame. I was amaised that there was almost no signs of verman
eaver being in the insulation The alumibum pan material was in bad shape and
needed to be replaced. Wood workers in general dont do well working with
metal. am using 1/4in ply treated with saturating epoxy and painted secured
to the frame with pop rivits. this will be easly rendered verman proof with
fiberglass tape aroundthe edges and wheel wells. there may be worse jobs than
painting and working under a airstream trailer but not many (bailing septic
tanks with a dixie cup comes to mind) I am begining to think that at 74 years
I am gitting too old for this. Especially in the hot Flordia sun.
My diesel generator arrived today my next progect is to silent and mount it
on the toungh I have rewired the trailer running the wires under the floor
and moved the control pannel into the kitchen where it is accessable.
at least this keeps me off the street.one day it will be finished than what
am I going to do?
