Jill If your frame is rusted you will see white "chaulking" on the underbelly. If you belly is fairly clean, you probably do not have any major rusting. I think it is good to drop the belly (not hard) and put a coat of paint on the frame at some point in your vintage ownership life. Ken Johansen 59 Traveler
