[VAC] Re: Alumnium wheels

You need more dimensions. Rim diameter, rim width, offset, and load
rating. Take one of the old wheels to every tire dealer in your area and
then go to the hotrod type auto (or pickup truck) parts stores. One of
them will have a good collection of aluminum wheels and sources for
more. 6 bolt is less common for automotive, more of a truck or farm
wagon wheel, though the standard 6 bolt farm wagon wheel has a 6" bolt
circle.

Rim diameter and rim width are to match the tire, offset is the distance
from the center of the rim plane to the mounting surface. Wheels
typically are available with offset anywhere from - to + half the rim
width, though most commonly no more than half that offset. Zero offset
seems least common, though 1/4" is common. A wrong offset could put the
tire against one side of the Airstream wheel well.

A wheel that is too light construction, to low a load rating, will flex
and either damage the tire, break, or loose air, and all these things
can happen.
