They eat Airstream floors and plastic tanks too???   Gee, I knew there were
good reasons to live in the Northeast!     We just have road crews that
spread salt all over the roads and eat our cars out!

I think I'd seriously consider coating ANY exposed wood with Git-Rot or
equivalent just to make sure that the wood in my Airstream was unavailable
to the bugs.  I certainly wouldn't just put fresh unprotected wood where
it's already been attacked!

I fixed my floor with polyester resin and haven't noticed any deficiencies
with it.
